The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

Imagine a vast, wild and magical area in the far north of Alaska - a place twice the size of the Netherlands. One of the greatest natural spectacles in the world takes place there: the migration of 200,000 caribou that travel more than 1,000 kilometers twice a year. Travel with National Geographic photographer Florian Schulz on his expedition into the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

He encounters not only the caribou but also powerful musk oxen, polar bear families and wolves. 200 different species of birds also come to this area every year from all corners of the earth to nest and raise their young. For thousands of years, original peoples such as the Gwich'in and the Inupiat have lived in this vast, untouched wilderness together with these animals that can roam there to their heart's content.

An unforgettable experience on the 840 m² dome screen of Dome and at the same time a call to embrace and protect this magical area.
